Return Merchandise Authorization
Microtips Technology understands that it is an inconvenience for all concerned
to find a problem with a product.
1) All merchandise being returned must be approved by Microtips Technology.
Upon approval, you will receive an RMA number, which must be affixed on
the outside of all package(s) being returned. Failure to do so may result
in your merchandise being refused.
2) Place a copy of the RMA paperwork provided inside the box being returned.
Written description of the problem with as much
information as possible about the failure conditions should
be sent with the item. This will assist Microtips' engineering department
in resolving this problem and prevent future problems.
3) Return all items within 30-days of the RMA issue date.
4) Return merchandise via a carrier that can provide you with proof of
delivery and insure the item(s). The customer is responsible for return
freight charges. Freight will not be charged on the return or replacement
unit.
5) The customer holds the responsibility for proper packaging and shipping
of equipment to Microtips Technology. Items damaged or lost will be the
sole responsibility of the customer.
6) Items being returned as defective are tested and certified by Microtips
Technology. Items returned with "No Problem
Found" may be subject to a testing and handling fee not to exceed
$50 per item. (See Hardware)
7) Microtips Technology reserves the right to replace the defective item(s)
with an equivalent product having similar technical specifications at
our sole discretion.
8) International shipments should indicate that these are "Liquid
Crystal Displays being returned to the manufacturer
for repair / replacement. No commercial value, value set for customs purposes
only." Value for damaged LCDs is $1.00 USD
per piece. This helps avoid being charged for duplicate
customs fees.

10) The warranty is effective one year from date of receipt. The warranty
covers defects in materials or workmanship and excludes normal wear and
damage caused by mistreatment, tampering or improper handling.
11) A credit memo will be issued upon receipt of return parts and customer
will be re-billed when replacement parts are sent. Credits issued by Microtips
have no monetary value. Credits are to be applied to new or existing account
balances only.
12) All Microtips' products are uniquely built for our customers. Microtips
would not otherwise build these products
without receipt of your purchase order. All purchase orders are non- cancelable,
non-returnable. All RMAs are repaired or replaced.
NOTE: All internal components are serial numbered and tracked for
each individual shipment Hardware:
If you have received an item and you think it is defective, please contact
the technical support department at the manufacturer before you call us
for an RMA number. More than 90% of our returns turn out to be working
after our technicians tested them. We do not guarantee against incompatibility
since we do not know your system configuration. So please check with the
manufacturer to find out if the product you want will work with your system.
You also need to make sure you have the appropriate bus/slot/port for
the item you are purchasing. If we receive an item that is tested to be
non-defective, we will return the same item back to the customer and may
be subject to a testing handling fee.
